1853 Pattern Cavalry Trooper's Sword - No Markings or Stamps

Description: A good example of the type of cavalry sword used by the British during the Crimean war and also extensively by both sides during the American Civil War. the leather grips are undamaged and are in good condition while the guard has a nicely aged patina overall. The blade is very lightly pitted overall and is a good fit to the scabbard. The scabbard has had its original black paint worn away in places and it has the odd ding here and there as well as having some light surface corrosion in places. This sword does not carry and makers or unit stamps or marks which may indicate that it was intended for the American market during the Civil War.
