SWORDS FOR SALE

1854 Pattern Welsh Guards Officer's Sword by Gaunt late Thurkle WWI

Description: A very rare pattern of sword, this example dates from WWI as there are no battle honours etched to the blade.

The blade is firm in the hilt and, though there no plating remains on the guard, it is undamaged and the shagreen and wiring are likewise in good order.

The blade has some staining here and there, but is clean over the majority of its surface and is clearly etched with the retailers name, badge of the Welsh Guards and the royal ‘Kings’ crown for George V.

The scabbard is in good order with the wooden liners intact.
