SWORDS FOR SALE

1854 Pattern Honourable Artillery Company Officers Sword

Description: Rare sword pattern, this one probably dates from the reign of George V and is likely to be of WWI vintage.

Light staining to the blade overall, some slight loss of plating to the guard, and a minor deflection to the left-hand side of the guard.

The wooden liner to the scabbard is missing as is the scabbard throat. Also some minor loss of plating near the chape.

Though not in the best condition, this is a highly collectable sword and is very reasonably priced.

Provenance: None known, though the presence of the king’s crown on the blade and the name of the outfitter would indicate that this sword dates from WWI

Price: Final sale price withheld.
